TREATMENT OF HYPOGLYCAEMIA
- If your casualty is conscious, give them something to eat or drink which contains a high sugar content, such as a fizzy drink, or glucose solution (such as Glucogel)
- If the condition does not improve call 999/112. Tell them you suspect hypoglycaemia
- If unconscious place in the recovery position and monitor using AVPU
- DO NOT ever attempt to administer an insulin injection
