Asthma

Asthma is defined as “a variable reversible airways obstruction due to underlying inflammation.” The incidence is widespread and increasing, particularly amongst children.

There are different precipitants of an asthma attack including:

• Exercise – typically after 5-10 minutes of vigorous exercise
• Cold Air
• Allergic Reactions such as pollen, air pollution and some medicines
• Infection
