Neil qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist from Teesside University in 1990, before taking up his first post in Aberdeen. At that stage he was taken under the wings of experienced physiotherapists in both the NHS and Sports Injury clinics to learn his trade.
Neil then went onto work in New Zealand before coming back to Scotland and Glasgow. He completed an MSc in Sports Injuries, as well as his training as a Credentialed McKenzie Spinal Therapist. Neil also works as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in Back Pain with the NHS and teaches on the National Sports First Aid courses. He still tries to kick a football about, practices Karate, swings a golf club in a manner and a bit of running/shuffling.
