Damon recently graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020. Since then, he has worked with Greenock Morton Men’s First team both as part of the physiotherapy team and later as the sole full-time first-team physiotherapist at the club. Alongside this, he also worked as an independent practitioner in private practice in the West End of Glasgow. Alongside this, he also completed his MSc in Physiotherapy where he developed both his knowledge and clinical skills through completing modules on human movement and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and work-based advanced skills and innovative practice. Damon also completed a review of literature for his dissertation investigating the effectiveness of plyometric training at reducing knee biomechanics linked with increased ACL rupture risk.
Throughout university, he gained experience in various clinical settings including orthopaedics, community, paediatrics, rheumatology, hydrotherapy and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This allowed him to gain experience across various disciplines, where he found musculoskeletal and sports injuries to be the most appealing due to providing both unique challenges and rewards.
