The Unconscious Casualty

THE RECOVERY POSITION

If the casualty is unconscious but breathing normally and you have treated all life threatening conditions you should place them in the Recovery Position.


It is important to use the recovery position to:

  • Maintain your casualty’s airway
  • Allow excess fluid such as saliva or vomit to drain from the mouth
