Bleeding Injuries

INTERNAL BLEEDING

• Risk of hidden bleeding into cavities in the abdomen, chest, thigh or pelvis
• Caused by blunt force trauma blows to any of these areas
• Risk of internal bleeding following a femur/pelvic fracture
• Very few early signs or symptoms
• Casualty will later display signs of shock
