When should you stop CPR?
- When someone else more qualified is available to take over
- When the ambulance arrives and you are instructed to stop
- The casualty shows signs of recovery by opening eyes, coughing, speaking, moving purposefully AND breathing normally
- The AED is assessing for a cardiac rhythm
- You are physically exhausted and can’t continue
