A pre-eminent podiatrist, Mandy is a strong advocate of the central role the whole kinetic chain plays in your body’s movement.
So while you may be experiencing pain in the knee, the source may be further up or down the chain in the pelvis or foot. Mandy’s experience will identify the real cause quicker, provide the appropriate treatment earlier and therefore have you back on your feet (!) sooner.
Following her time in the NHS, Mandy has spent a number of years teaching university students and working with Scotland’s sporting professionals; Scottish Rugby, the SPFL and is one of the Clinical Directors for Special Olympics GB. She was lead podiatrist for the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and the European Games in 2015.
Mandy was awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons and has ongoing research projects with a specific interest in the effects of Orthoses on Human Movement.
While continuing to lecture at GCU, she is excited to join our multi-disciplinary team of professionals and feels Hampden Sports Clinic is uniquely placed to provide the best possible care to everyone.
